Title

Dinwoody Plate 8

Subject

New Deal, 1933-1939.; Petroglyphs -- Wyoming.

Description

Dinwoody Plate 8

An anthropomorphic and zoomorphic panel. There are four anthropmorphic figures; three are of women. The artist has represented the head-dresses and female organs. The figure of an elk (zoomorphic) appears in the center. There are also symbolic designs scattered through the panel. I believe the figure to the left indicates a "Morphodite" which is common among Indians.
