This notebook contains several articles written and edited by Alfred J. Mokler. These pieces include historical events, people, and places of Wyoming. Not all articles are digitized and are available for in-person viewing. Not digitized articles include: "Life Story of Chris Madsen," "Ambushed at Milk Creek," "Two Prospectors Murdered by Their Guide," "Mysterious Medicine Wheen on the Big Horns," ""Good Medicine" for Making Bows," "Fossil Beds Found in Wyoming Are Declared Largest in the World," "Grand-dad of the Human Race Quarried Flint at Spanish Diggings," and "Wyoming Roundup of Odd and Interesting Facts."

"Mormon Handcart Brigade of 1856" describes the journey of Mormons traveling from St. Joseph in 1856 and Brigham Young's attempts to help their plight to survive the disastrous climate conditions and unforeseen troubles along the way.

"Oil History of Wyoming" includes the history and discovery of oil in Wyoming along with the rise of oil prospecting. Some effects oil has had on Wyoming are also detailed in this article.

"Landmarks of the Old Oregon Trail" details the hardships of emigrants who trekked the Old Oregon Trail in the 1840s, giving it a name, landmarks made along the way, and its importance to their livelihoods.

""Spanish Diggings" Indicate the Stone Age in Wyoming" describes the prehistoric stone quarries and their contents located near Lusk, Wyoming along with some theories of their origins. A sub-title in Alfred J. Mokler's drafts reads: "Stone Cross Ninety Feet Long on a Hillside Claimed to Have Been Erected Before the Chrisian Era."

"Topography of Wyoming" details the diverse topography of the state of Wyoming including its formation, climate, terrain, resources, and more.

"The Birth of Our Commonwealth" is an account of Wyoming legally becoming a state in 1890, the events leading up to its recognition, and the people responsible along with some of their experiences.

"Derivation of the Name "Wyoming"" explains the origins of the name "Wyoming" and how it came to be the state's official name.

"Wyoming Counties and Their Name Derivations" is a list of Wyoming counties in alphabetical order each with a brief description of the origins of their names.
