Chapter I: 2024

This Chapter of the Goodstein Foundation Library's Student Art Collection includes Madison Harvey's Romans 12:2, Nelson Kerr's Kestral, and Devon King's Ethereal Ephemerality. These pieces were selected by the College Library during the spring 2024 Juried Student Art Show. This page exists as a digital archives of oral histories recorded with the artists as well as any other related traces of their work that they have selected to include.

Madison Harvey

"After taking an art course--General Studio Art with Carli Holcomb--I was convinced to switch my major, so I ended up swithing to Fine Art, and now I will be graduating this May with an Associates in Fine Art."

"This piece I really wanted to represent transformation. The prompt was supposed to be more spooky Halloween themes, but I wanted it to be a transformative piece. The verse talks a lot about not being conformed to the world but being transformed by the renewal of your mind."

Devon King

“I started with Film because I had never take a film class but I had taken digital photography before. And, through film the photography class that I took a year ago, I really fell in love with the process… it’s just so different and there’s nothing like it.”
