Description
An account of the resource
Tina Tanksley looks over displays as the Casper black community gets ready for a black awareness program. This photograph is a part of a collection that consists of photographs and negatives created and used by the Casper Star Tribune from 1967 until the middle of 1995 according to a newspaper article on the donation from February of 2000. In the words of Special Collections Curator, Kevin Anderson, the photographs in this collection serve to document "events in our own lives, events in our own history." There were 19,000 envelopes that were gifted to the repository, which totaled between 330,000 and 460,000 images. Images in this collection may support the use of other collections in the repository or vice versa.

Financial bliss is what we hear them cite

An account of the resource
Scans of genealogy research done by Mary Lew Tobin and copies of Frank 0'Mahoney's Diary, which includes headlines from Casper newspapers. Unfortunately, this diary wasn't scanned properly at the point of ingest into the digital repository. These files have been published to compliment the depth of information the repository has on Irish immigrants to Casper and Wyoming around the beginning of the twentieth century. Researchers may also be interested in information deposited in the repository on Patrick Joseph Sullivan and other collections related to sheep ranching in Wyoming with traces of information about immigrants from Ireland.

Description
An account of the resource
The Frances Seely Webb Collection contains over 1,400 photographs, correspondence, handwritten research notes, the proof copy of Webb's book, Casper's First Homes, and a series of scrapbooks. Materials documents Casper buildings, cultural institutions, homes, and society from 1890-1978. Also included are photographs of individuals and groups visually documenting Casper society. In addition are items originally collected by Boney Earnest, a frontiersman and former member of the Natrona County Historical Society. Subjects documented in Webb’s correspondence, notebooks, and scrapbooks include things related to her ongoing research, obituaries, Casper and Natrona County homes, businesses, and cultural institutions.

Photograph of an early town hall of Casper, Wyoming. The building was also known as the Bell Theatre, a sign to the left advertises that day's shows. The image is undated, but likely dates between 1890 and 1912. There was a fire in the building in 1912.
