An account of the resource
Photographs from the Charles "Chuck" Morrison Collection accessible through the Casper College Library. The Chuck Morrison Collection includes records from the Cole Creek Wreck including passenger lists, obituaries, and correspondence; records of New York Oil Company in Casper; District Court correspondence and files; Personal Correspondence between Wyoming State Representative Chuck Morrison and other Wyoming Representatives; Chuck Morrison writing to his family and friends, etc ; letters Chuck Morrison received and sent to various ski and outdoor clubs; ski and wildlife magazines; Chuck Morrison's historical stories and articles he wrote while working for the Casper Star-Tribune newspaper; photographs taken and collected by Chuck Morrison of Wyoming's historical sites, churches, neighborhoods, cemeteries, local flora and fauna, etc. ranging from the 1920s to the 1980s; personal photographs of Chuck Morrison's family, property, etc.; boxes of negatives related to the rest of the photos and photo rolls; Chuck Morrison's WWII credentials, awards, and photographs from his time in WWII; a special collection of letters of correspondence between Chuck Morrison, his mother, his father, and his friends, written during his time in World War II; and a special items box containing some of the plaques and awards Chuck Morrison earned over the years for writing, sportsmanship, photography, etc.

This picture of the City of Casper Police Department
was taken in the early 1930s, possibly in 1932.
The identi
fications are as I recall the individuals, and the spelling
is also from memory.
In the middle row I was unsure ofjptfeo standing fourth
and fifth from the
One is Tony Wroblesky, but I’m
not sure which, and I could not come up with a name for the
other.
Shortly after the picture was taken, two of the men
were brought before the Grand Jury on charges of allowing
illegal trafficing of liquor to and from Casper in vio
lation of the Volstead Act.
Subsequently they were removed
from their positions of authority.
They were Mayor Earl
Rowell and Police Chief Mike Quealey.
later
Rowell left Casper soon after and Quealey was/en^loyed
by Sheriff Gilbert Housley after Housley had left office
and purchased the Townsend Hotel and Natrona Motors.
Housley
also had been brought before the Grand Jury but I’m unsure
of the disposition of charges against him.
It’s my recollection that all this took place in 1933.

Photograph of the Casper Police Department taken in 1932 as per Joan Jonen Gilliam's memory. Gilliam goes on to recall, <br /><br />"This picture of the City of Casper Police Department was taken in the early 1930s, possibly i n1932. The identifications are as I recall the individuals, and the spelling is also from memory."<br /><br />"In the middle row I was unsure of the two standing fourth and fifth from the left. One is Tony Wroblesky, but I'm not sure which, and I could not come up with a name for the other."<br /><br />"Shortly after the picture was taken, two of the men were brought before the Grand Jury on charges of allowing illegal trafficking of liquor to and from Casper in violation of the Volstead Act. Subsequently they were removed from their positions of authority. They were Mayor Earl Rowell and Police Chief Mike Quealey."<br /><br />"Rowell left Casper soon after and Quealey was later employed by Sheriff Gilbert Housely after Housley had left office and purchased the Townsend Hotel and Natrona Motors. Housley also had been brought before the Grand Jury but I'm unsure of the dispositions of the charges against him."<br /><br />"It's my recollection that all this toom place in 1933."<br /><br />"Joseph Jonen was my father and John Mechaley was my uncle.
