Her laughter pouring forth without reprieve
I find I must sing praise of one who gave
Like the giving in itself was a gift

I was once trapped on the ground
Beliefs forced onto my head
And the pressure keeping me down
That type of life limits your view
All you know is what is inches in front of you
Imagine only seeing a single blade of grass
When if you just looked around you would see a meadow
With flowers and the open sky waiting to welcome you
There is a whole world out there
There are those from all walks of life
That creates a beautiful existence
But because you are afraid of the unknown here you stay
Staring at that one blade of grass
With that one way of thinking
Not realizing how it shackles you from your full potential
That was how I lived
That was my entire existence
My entire purpose
A single blade of grass
I remember getting so mad
When people told me how there is a whole world out there
They told me how the grass was technically a weed
And how if I looked up I would see a vast sky
They told me that I could be happy in a place so big
Even if those before me in my bloodline said the opposite
And willingly chose the shackles that held them down
Over time I let my anger go
And let them help me open my eyes
This is the stage of transformations

This is the stage where I learn how to be free
So once I am free I know how to be me
I have made my cocoon
So I can start healing
The bruises on my wrists
And adjust to the new lighting

It is a reminder of all the work I had to do
And what I can eventually become
One day I will break out
Fully changed by potential

To dance around as a madman,
Under the impression; facial expression of everyman.
Pirouetting at the midnight gala -now I’m penniless: I must leave on the hour.
The eve was fine, yet sick on bitter wine.
The somebody I was then, is a nobody now.
I once searched for who I was - now I die to who 1 am.
These harsh words are pure.
To kill the self, and let the cadaver lay heavy.
I once begged to escape this rotten body.
I want to run far from it, because in this mindscape, I can be anybody.
I can be anybody.
Reptilian: the skin of chameleon.
Why does it matter to be anybody?
I’m meant to be here, but this isn’t where I’ll stay. I’ll explore its face, and peel off the
mask of my charade.
And as it sheds off, I find that "finding myself’’ made me lost.
I could be many mind: nobody.
Anybody.

I am not made of warm red blood
Or writhing wriggling guts
I am made of frozen stones
And sharp bits of hoar frost that populate my stomach;
It stabs through my flesh
My blood leaks out of my eyes and ears
It is the ice melted from frozen rivers
My head is filled with cold water
Shocking me into a state of constant hypothermia
Nothing happens in my head
Water sloshes
Splashes
Waves about
Sometimes I leak
Brain slush
Rain water tears
Snow infected blood
I am empty
All that I am can be melted away
I am hollow
All that pollutes my body can be easily rid of
Murky slush pools out of my shattered skull
The hoar frost splits open my body
Snow fails out of my open flesh like a bucket of sand poured out by a careless child

So let us take we our frosted edges,
As mountainsides and sea glass be differed.
And yet here we be both so admired.
Fleetingly my snow blown slopes cave to spring.
Your soft curves glitter in the sun-kissed sand.
I, struck again by our differences,
Must marvel at a beauty never seen,
Nor by my experience felt before.
Alas, but that you might be carried hence
By hand or foot to my rocky facade.
I cannot be moved to the endless shore.
But if you should find yourself swept my way,
By sincere thoughts or happy accidents
Stay, that I may show a summit sunrise.
And admire the way the snow drops glow
And gently gleam against your sea-scored skin.
And when you leave, take with you a token.
Be it quartz or granite or crystal jade.
My thanks, for you to cherish by seaside.
And allow me the pleasure to wonder
To the degree that its rough hemmed edges
Might be burnished and smoothed by your soft hand.

I am not afraid of falling
Instead, I am very good at it
I fall over invisible lines
My own feet
A chair
Even upstairs
Really, I would call it a talent
Or that I am the official gravity tester
The world never knew they needed
It was this innate ability I was born with
A body that looks graceful
But in reality can barely stand up some days
No I am not afraid of falling
Instead, I am used to it
I am so used to it I shouldn’t be afraid
But the one thing I am afraid of
Is falling for people
Real people
As a clumsy person
I can deal with bruises
Lining up my legs
But feelings
Feelings are something different
Bruises can heal in a couple days
But feelings are not that simple

I find myself falling
For anyone that shows me a bit of kindness
You smile at me and give me a cheesy compliment
Bam I have fallen
You are willing to talk to me for a while

I am very very good at falling
And if you are not careful
Not only will I trip over your feet
I might fall for you
And trust me you do not want that
Because once you spend time around
Someone that falls so often
You might find yourself falling too
Then we would both be failing up stairs
Over chairs
Or our own feet
Bruises covering our legs
While people question us
What happened
You would respond with
“I tried to catch her, but found myself falling instead."

And then not only did you find yourself physically falling

Created by a clumsy girl
I never saw myself falling this often
Creating fantasies about romance
As a young girl I told myself
That even though I am clumsy
And clumsy with words
1 would not find myself falling for others
Unless it was a fictional book character
That teleported to the real world
That had the cure for my clumsiness
That was the exception
I convinced myself that feelings suck
I wasn't wrong
Feelings do suck
But as hard as I try
I can’t stop myself for falling
Especially for you
I am not afraid of falling
