The grass grows its green
And the sky bestows blue
But all is not as it was used to
Ihe stars still shine
And the clouds still float
But the crickets don’t chirp and the frogs don’t croak
Ihe cliffs stand tall
Still slicing the sky
Atop them though, no people reside
No meetings of friends
Nor parties about
Iheir faces are gone and the trees cry out
They weep and they wilt
Iheir leaves fall to the ground
As their roots feel the pain that silence sounds
For no breath will be taken
No noise will be made
But the rustling of bones on the ground softly laid
No body will move
Ihey will lie in their sleep
In their dreaming of sky and ocean so deep
Iheir life made this world
But their sleep always calls
No, they will not wake up
And so the world falls
