A Wgomin^ Sonnet
Sophia Zettl
Shall I compare thee to a summer's day?
About an English Summer says the Bard.
But for you dear I’m obliged to convey,
such comparisons I wish to discard.
You are the Wyoming plains in twilight,
when we sat watching the distant sunset.
We were together through that gentle night.
Above, the stars made for us a lunette.
You are the breath of early morning mist,
that dissipates in the light of the Dawn.
And in that light you dared to steal a kiss,
it seemed my breath to your lungs indrawn.
To compare thee to a lone summer day,
would be to throw our other times away.
