Eva Haler
Of these sleepy eyes—sleepy town,
Tears that search for sound.
As the search for words - find a home for that lonely feeling.
Life found in babble - in lack thereof-
Downcast-beyond gravity. This taste of ill-reality.
Nigh to sorrow - to above.
His sound roars with the orchestra of truth.
I hear this rain. Screaming louder on the pavement- and being so gentle with the soil.
To be dirt -or- to be synthetic?
Fear likes to know, but not to understand.
I am a sojourner of this lifeless land.
I don’t want to sleep again.
Years were wasted in comatose. It had its illusions of peace.
Waking up has pain.
A foreigner to my own name. Roaming along this sleepy town.
I don’t feel the same.
I call upon His name. I feel the peace and the pain.
