Black and white photograph of Second Street looking East from Center Street in Casper, Wyoming. Pictured are Gros Ventre and Sioux Indian wagons presumably on their way to Montana. Donated by the Blackmore family, known for their influence and presence in early Casper, Wyoming. Numbers on the image correlate to the descriptions of what each building is at the top of the image.
1. Webel Mercantile Company, the general store replaced by the Rialto Theatre.
2. Denecke and Wright Bank, also replaced by the Rialto Theatre.
3. Pete Heagney Shoe Shop and residence, replaced by the Blackmore Building.
4. Clark Johnson, dray man, residence.
5. Jerry Dain's paint store.
6. Home built by J.J. Hurt, the only home in town with a bathroom.
7. Episcopal Church, moved to east Seventh St. and then to the County Fair Grounds for a museum.
8. Barry Hormsmaker home.
9. Methodist Church.
