The Southern Mansion is described as an establishment that held legitimate activities throughout the Sand Bar&#039;s history up until the Urban Renewal efforts.  The girl in the center of this photograph as identified on the back as Betty Lou Barnes. This photograph is part of a collection of photographs of people who lived in Casper&#039;s Sand Bar as found in the Walter R. Jones Papers available in and through the repository. Jones&#039; papers contain manuscript versions of The Sandbar. Researchers will also find photographs, background research, and miscellaneous materials relating to the history of the Sandbar. Researchers will also find information on the publication of The Sandbar as well as information on Jones. Early manuscript versions of the Sand Bar date from between 1975 and 1979.]]></dcterms:description>
