Title
Northeast Wyoming Plates 5 & 6
Subject
New Deal, 1933-1939.; Petroglyphs -- Wyoming.
Description
Northeast Wyoming Plates 5 & 6, taken at Carr Ranch.
Both plates (Carr Ranch) are zoomorphic and represent deer and mountain sheep. The lower figure suggests a mule-deer. It is most interesting to note the lifeline on these animals which runs from the mouth to the heart. This is a common design found in the Southwest, especialy typical of Zuni pottery.
