Title
Western Central Wyoming Plate 56
Subject
New Deal, 1933-1939.; Petroglyphs -- Wyoming.
Description
Western Central Wyoming Plate 56, taken at Sage Creek
An anthropomorphic panel so badly worn it was impossible to chalk. Figure to the extreme left is that of the Chief (see the feather war bonnet) and below him a bow and arrow quiver. The center figure represents a female and figure to extreme right is that of a phallic male. The whole panel is joined by a line going from figure to figure and may indicate a long journey to see the Chief. Unfortunately great rocks have fallen and covered the figure of the Chief. Was impossible to obtain a clear photo of him.
