Colton's Dakota

Description

Colton's 1868 map depicts the Union Pacific Railroad construction as reaching the Rawlins area. What later became Wyoming is part of the Dakota territory, just prior to being granted its own territorial status. Freemont's Peak is incorrectly identified as "the loftiest known summit in this chain." Placing Idaho's Fort Hall on the Medicine Bow River is also in error.
