<dcterms:subject>Truman, Harry S., -- 1884-1972.</dcterms:subject>
<dcterms:description>Collection of 29 photographs taken during one of President Harry S. Truman's visit to Wyoming. He made three trips to Wyoming in total. Truman had made a speech in front of the governor's mansion in Cheyenne following a parade from the railroad depot on June 6th, 1948 . He visited again on May 9th, 1950, but this time started his visit in Casper and was met off the train with a brass band. During this visit, he went to the opening dedication of the completed Kortes Dam. He visited again in July of 1953 as a former president, meeting with Governor Clifford Joy Rogers. The visit included meeting with the 131st Light Bombardment Wing. Missouri Air National Guard during their summer encampment at Casper, Wyoming. Many of the photographs in this series are undated and/or unlabeled, but likely date to Truman's visits in either 1948 or 1950.
