Location of Petroglyph Sites<br />
<br />
Site No. 1 - Seven miles west of Shoshone, on cliffs along the Big Horn River on both sides of State Highway 320.<br />
<br />
Site No. 2 - Eight miles east of Crowheart Butte on cliffs along the old Dubois road, on east side of Wind River.<br />
<br />
Site No. 3 - Fifteen Miles North of Burris, on cliffs along Crow Creek, on east side of Wind River.<br />
<br />
Site No. 4 - Seventeen miles west of Burris, on cliffs along Little Dry Creek, on west side of Wind River.<br />
<br />
Site No. 5 - Seventeen miles west of Burris, on cliffs along Big Dry Creek, on west side of Wind River.<br />
<br />
Site No. 6 - Ten miles northwest of Fort Washakie, on cliffs along Sage Creek, on west side of Wind River.<br />
<br />
Site No. 7 - Nineteen miles southest of Lander, on cliffs along Twin Creek, on north side of US Highway 287.<br />
<br />
Site No. 8 - Twenty-five miles southeast of Lander, on cliffs along Beaver Creek, on both sides of US Highway 287.<br />

An Anthropomorphic and Zoomorphic panel. At the extreme left appears a woman and two children, because of the female sign, she was probably a mid-wife. In the center appears the figure of a man, either worn or unfinished.<br />
The zoomorphic figure appears to be that of a wolf.<br />
To the extreme right the figure of a woman and child may be seen.<br />
Wolves were once numerous in this region, and this may record the attack of a wolf on a family of three.]]></dcterms:description>
