Begin series of explanation poems–accounting for distance + return culminating 115-116
Rose theatre–Lord Admiral’s Men play there in 1594

SONNET 110
Series seems to be parallel to 1599-60–etc.
Lord Strange died myst (poison?) in 1594
’90-’91–James involved in witch trials; suspects Bothwell of using evil powers agst him
Fr. statesman Sully described James as “wisest fool in Christendom”
Thomas Cecil called a clown in bedside (but he dis. with Cecil on protl.[?])
Or does he give up on even leaving his love for her? Appalled + disapproving he still loves
1608 = Cupid’s Revenge, by Be[aumont] + Fletcher
